Phillip Goodwin, University of Nevada, Reno

Phillip Goodwin is a doctoral candidate in rhetoric and composition at the University of Nevada, Reno. His teaching and pedagogy interests include public sphere theory, activist rhetorics, and the uses of multimodal composition for public engagement. His dissertation examines how discourses emanating from a neoliberal regime of truth circulating through the reticulate public sphere produce economic subjectivities and how those subjectivities are leveraged in rights debates to suppress others whose demands challenge the market order of the state.
