Author Biography

Jennifer Trainor, San Francisco State University

Jennifer Seibel Trainor is Associate Professor of English at San Francisco State University. Her research on literacy, whiteness, and racism has been published in RTE and CCC, and her 2008 book, "Rethinking Racism: Emotion, Persuasion, and Literacy Education in an All-White High School," was awarded the Mina P. Shaughnessy Prize. Her current research focuses on student engagement.
